law school attention deficit disorder (LSADD)

Why is it so hard to pay attention during these classes? 

Perhaps if I didn't take my laptop to class I would be better off. 

All I know is that as I'm sitting in class in this decrepit, Sovietesque building listening to professors drone on about contracts, deeds, and torts, all I can think about is how awesome it feels outside right now.  

During really blah days I like to distract myself by thinking about replacement career choices if I decide to not come back next fall. So far my list includes:

1) State Trooper

2) High School Geography Teacher

3) Land Surveyor

4) Private Investigator

5) Youth Minister

6) Itinerant Wanderer
