Wheelchairs

Today a man who lives in my apartment building stabbed himself in our lobby. He then wheeled himself out on to the sidewalk where presumably he was seen and taken to the hospital. [The wheelchair was sitting in the middle of crime scene tape on the sidewalk outside the building.]

I saw him the other day, looking particularly sad. I felt like I should talk to him and try to cheer him up.
I didn't. I wasn't brave enough.

Today another man made the world's first ever double backflip in a wheelchair. He was brave enough.
